Since I was a little kid, fireworks have always fascinated me, both for the complex process required to manufacture them and for the spectacle of light and color they masterfully paint across the sky during a pyrotechnic show. The fireworks in Barcelona during the Festes de la Mercè are wonderful. Whenever I am not traveling, I go up to the roof of the apartment building where I live or head to the Barcelona beaches to thoroughly enjoy them.
