One physical star field and one camera: Earth is a camera position, not a separate model.
Go to Earth places the SAME camera at Earth. Explore 3D preserves its position and zoom. Drag to look around from Earth or orbit in 3D; Ctrl-drag looks around in place; Shift-drag rolls; right-drag pans the Earth view or moves sideways in 3D. Camera distance moves the viewpoint towards/away from the stars; Depth geometry only changes their illustrated 3D proportions. Wheel/pinch or +/− zoom the lens. W/A/S/D and Q/E move through 3D space. Hover for stellar data.
